Our Commitment to Active Military, Veterans

In July 2016 to kick-off the 4th of July weekend, Boulder Designs designed, built and donated a 7,500-pound boulder anchored by two flag poles for the grand reopening of the Heart of Texas Veterans One Stop’s new location in Waco, Texas. A first of its kind in the United States, the nonprofit organization provides veterans and their families a facility where a variety of fundamental services — legal, employment, counseling, for example — can be accessed at one location.

Boulder Designs Signs Franchise Agreement in Brazoria County, Texas

WACO, Texas (April 13, 2016) — Boulder Designs announced today a new signed franchise agreement in Brazoria County. This agreement will be Boulder Design’s first location in southeast Texas and the 61st location in the United States.

Since purchasing the Boulder Designs franchise system in late 2015 and moving its headquarters from Rantoul, Illinois to Waco, Texas, veteran franchise executive turned franchisor Butch Mogavero has been restructuring the company. The Brazoria County franchise, Boulder Designs by McDuff Stoneworks, heralds the growth Mogavero expected when he took ownership of the company.

“Selling the Brazoria County territory is a huge milestone for our brand and our refocused direction,” said Mogavero. “The Franchise Expo South in Houston was our debut, and we have several more prospects in the pipeline from that show.”

Home-based in Pasadena, Texas, Boulder Designs by McDuff Stoneworks will be fully operational May 1.

Boulder Designs Gives Back to the Bold

The Warrior and Family Support Center at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio had no signage to designate its location until Butch Mogavero, owner of Boulder Designs, offered to build them a boulder.

Boulder Designs Corporate Moves to Texas Under New Ownership

WACO TX  February 1, 2016 -- Franchise veteran Butch Mogavero is the new owner of Boulder Designs and Border Magic franchise companies. Mogavero purchased the two companies from Eldean Bergman for an undisclosed price. Mogavero moved Boulder Designs and Border Magic corporate headquarters to Waco, Texas from Rantoul, Illinois in 2015. Mogavero's franchise experience includes a successful landscaping company that he owned and operated. He also worked for one of the world’s premier service franchise companies -- the Dwyer Group -- in franchise sales and development where he sold many franchise units and assisted in developing one of their brands into what it is today. At the end of 2015 Boulder Designs had 67 units and Border Magic had 36 units across the United States.  Mogavero is actively seeking franchisees for both brands.  The location of the Boulder Designs' Rantoul franchisee continues to be 1503 County Road 2700N in Rantoul. In the video below, Bergman discusses the launch of Boulder Designs.
